– To all those who gave of their time and efforts this past week to help their neighbors clean up from the massive storm that ripped through our region. Driving through neighborhoods, watching as neighbors helped cut up downed trees and cleared fallen branches, and provided food and shelter for those without power, showed once again the bright light that is our community.
– To the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, which again this year will be performing a patriotic Fourth of July show at Heritage Port in Wheeling to celebrate our nation's independence. The Wheeling concert is the final stop of the WSO's Celebrate America Tour around the Mountain State, which will begin in Weirton on July 1, perform in Clarksburg on July 2 and Canaan Valley on July 3.
– To members of the Women's Giving Circle who on Monday learned the group had been named the Youth Services Systems' 2022 Good Samaritan of the Year. The circle has provided nearly $500,000 in grants to programs for women and children. Congratulations!
