It is with great sadness that the family of David K. Martin, Jr., announces his passing on November 6, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX., on August 5, 1962, to the late S.F.C., David K. Martin, Sr. from Paducah, Texas, and Evelyn Bolling Martin of Burgettstown, PA.

He graduated from Burgettstown Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He had been employed in many capacities including at Coorstech, Duquesne University, the Pavilion at Star Lake, and most recently Cabella’s and Bass Pro Shops in Wheeling.

He was a very kind, considerate, and thoughtful person who will be missed by his mother, Evelyn Bolling Martin, son Rhys, grandchildren Melanie and Rhys, Jr., several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends including, Mark, Sean, Michelle, and Helen, who were very frequently at his side when his condition worsened.

David was preceded in death by his beloved fiance’ Melanie Maropis, paternal Grandmother Elsie Martin, maternal grandfather Emil Bolling and maternal grandmother Audrey Mullins Bolling, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Friends can visit with David’s family on Friday, November 15, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, at 11 am.

Burial will follow immediately in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
