Pats on the Back
– To the West Virginia Board of Realtors and the Wheeling Board of Realtors for working with the National Association of Realtors to secure $100,000 in flood relief for Ohio and Marion counties. The assistance, if granted, can cover mortgage payments, temporary rental housing and hotel stay reimbursements for those displaced.
– To all those locally that turned out last week to assist in cleaning up additional flooding that occurred June 26 in Bethlehem and Elm Grove. Our community truly is shining bright in this moment, with neighbor helping neighbor.
– To Catholic Charities West Virginia, the National Road Church of Christ and the Vineyard Church for helping to coordinate flood relief and recovery efforts in Ohio County. Your efforts in ensuring assistance is available to those in need are highly appreciated by all.
– To Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine who went out of his way last weekend to visit Steubenville High School’s Class of 1960 reunion at the Steubenville Country Club. One of the Class of 1960 graduates, Dohrman Sinclair, was a close friend of DeWine’s while the two were in law school at Ohio Northern University College of Law, and the governor accepted his invitation to attend –as a guest. What a incredibly nice gesture.
– To Victor and Myra Dean for their ongoing financial support of West Virginia University’s academic and athletic programs. Victor Dean is a New Martinsville native.
