Get Into the Holiday Spirit in the Valley

The Halloween decorations are back in the basement around the Ohio Valley, making way for the holiday splendor that will soon adorn all corners of the region. The valley is now getting into the spirit of the holidays and there are plenty of places around where those wanting some Yuletide joy can enjoy some.

The annual Festival of Trees will be open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. through Nov. 15 at the Pine Room at Oglebay Park Resort. Trains and trees will be on display daily and there will be several events throughout the week, the proceeds of which will go to Wheeling Health Right.

And, of course, the Ohio Valley can now enjoy Oglebay’s Festival of Lights, which kicked off this past Thursday with its Light Up Night. Holiday fans can experience some of the traditional entertainment the season-long event has featured over its 41 years, and also introduce themselves to some new highlights at the Santa’s Village.

Over in Ohio, folks can stop by the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum in Barnesville for holiday fun, and several communities will be holding their own light-up nights in the coming days.

It’s call “the most wonderful time of the year,” and the Ohio Valley is doing its part to prove that true. Head out over the next few weeks and see for yourself.

Starting at $2.99/week.
