Spring is here and it is a time for renewal. Part of that renewal can be in and around your home.

Have a bunch of stuff that you just need to get rid of? The City of Wheeling his helping with that by holding several Spring Cleanup days around the city.

Dumpsters are located on those days at areas around Wheeling for landfill-appropriate refuse. The containers will be at the following places on the following days.

– April 10 – Former Dog Pound, Industrial Drive & Peninsula Street, Fulton

– April 17 – Former Wheeling-Penn Closure, 19th Street, East Wheeling

– April 24 – Pleasanton Playground, 1092 Currie Drive, Pleasanton

– May 1 – Patterson Ballfield, 50 Patterson Avenue, Elm Grove

– May 8 – Belle Isle Park, 778 N. Front Street, Wheeling Island

Residents can use any of the sites on those days, but proof of residency will be required. It’s the perfect time to clear out the closets, the attic and the basement. Better they end up in a trash bin than cluttering some area of the city.

Keeping Wheeling beautiful should be a goal of all residents. These events give us the chance to get that done.
