Mother Sees Hope in Scholarship

Editor, News-Register:

I’m writing this letter because I want bring attention to what the Hope Scholarship means to my family and many families like mine.

My family struggled our way through the traditional schooling methods that work well for some. My husband and I cringed as our children questioned their capability and compared themselves to their classmates. Our evenings were spent trying to go over the lesson so that they could complete their homework. Their school day was now extended and their time for play was cut short. This situation was not working, and I could sense their joy for learning slipping away. This was the final straw. We began researching options. Our hearts felt full when we discovered the Hope Scholarship.

All children deserve to learn in a way that sets them up for success. They deserve to be able to build up their internal voice through a series of successful educational experiences. They deserve Hope. The Hope Scholarship would enable my children and yours access to an educational plan built to meet their unique needs.

I love my children, just like you love yours, and want to do everything in my power to help them succeed. The Hope Scholarship will help make this dream a reality for my family and many others. So, as a mom of two beautiful West Virginia children, I ask you to please consider all the good the Hope Scholarship can do for the families in your community. Read more about the program from reputable resources like The Hope Scholarship Resource Center (www.cardinalinstitute.com) or The West Virginia Treasurer’s Office (www.hopescholarshipwv.com) and speak out in support of Hope.
