A Magical Place in City’s History

I may be the only person in Wheeling who will miss the Ihlenfeld Dining Room at Oglebay. It was the only place in Wheeling that served as a reminder of what a beautiful dining experience could be like. Jackets were required for the men, nice dresses and the like for the women. There were no shorts, no flip-flops, and no ball caps.
I considered it a very romantic place for special times and occasions to remember. The table settings were one of a kind, the pictures, wallpaper were just perfect.
Thank you to the Ihlenfeld family for giving so many good memories to the residents of our region.
