Trump Is Wrong on Pete Rose Position

Editor, News-Register: Donald Trump is wrong on this one. The fate of Pete Rose entering the Hall of Fame should be left to those who vote on it, much like President Trump’s innocence or guilt was decided by the eligible voters of the United State — not jurors on blue state juries. However, first Pete has to become removed from the banned from baseball list, which is up to baseball commissioner Rob Manfred. Editor, News-Register: I am writing to express my strong opposition to House Resolution 33, which proposes renaming Spruce Knob, the highest peak in West Virginia, to “Trump Mountain.” This resolution is not only unnecessary but also a wasteful use of time and resources that does not reflect the will of the people. The Price of Eggs

Editor, News-Register: One of the main reasons people voted for Trump was the price of groceries, specifically, eggs. Despite inflation being tamed, eggs were still a bit higher last November than before COVID. A slim majority voted Republican, for cheaper eggs. How’s that working for us? Ummm, not so good. Over 300 upset property owners gathered at Undo’s (Wednesday) to plan self-defense measures concerning the highest property tax increases in Ohio history. Editor, News-Register: I met Roger “Cookie” Wallace through his brother Richard “Dick" Wallace, a Brooke County school bus driver who listened with encouragement about my aspiration to be in the fight racket. When I was working in Wellsburg back in the late ’70s his brother would come from a long day’s work at Eagle Manufacturing to do his banking when I was a teller.
