A majority of the more than 200 food banks in the Feeding America network serving every county in the country, which Mountaineer Food Bank is part of, report steady or increased demand for food since June 2021. Over time our family used the parks, and I worked and continue to volunteer at Oglebay, donated to the foundation and regularly walk the trails. Hunt Is Wildlife Management Tool

Editor, News-Register: Oglebay Park recently announced there will be a controlled hunt in the park to reduce the deer population. While this may seem drastic, hunting is the foundation of wildlife conservation in our country, and in this case, is the most viable option. The deer living at Oglebay are overpopulated.
