The pool has been closed since March 1 for repainting as well as painting the walls throughout the building.

While on the subject of the East End Playground, the Bronco Field has a new lighting system, which will be turned on for the first time this weekend. White said the next major sports facility upgrade will take place at the Park View Playground where five fitness stations will be installed.

The Marshall County Historical Society recently announced that it has established a permanent endowment for the support of the Cockayne Farmstead project.
The Cockayne Farmstead Endowment has been established through the Community Foundation of the Ohio Valley with a starting principal of $20,000.
The hope of committee members is that the endowment will provide much-needed security for the future, and eventually will allow the Farmstead to grow and expand without worrying about day-to-day operating costs.
Anyone can make a contribution to the endowment fund, either through one-time donation, planned giving, or a bequest to the Marshall County Historical Society, noting that it is for the endowment.
For more information phone the Cockayne House at 304-845-1411.
