CADIZ -- The host Huskies defeated Buckeye Local by 25 shots on their home course of Cadiz Country Club Monday afternoon.
Senior Sam Santille continued his strong early season with an even-par round of 36. Trevor Thompson as the runner-up medalist with a round of 43.
Monroe Central sweeps Triangular
BECWOOD -- Monroe Central picked up a victory over St. Clairsville and Martins Ferry thanks to a round of 168, which was 12 better than the Red Devils and 28 shots clear of the host Purple Riders.
Martins Ferry senior Luke Krol picked up his second medalist in as many outings with a round of 3-over, 39. His card included an eagle on the par 4, sixth.
Monroe Central's Austin Sloan and St. Clairsville Will Foster both checked in with rounds of 39.
River Tops Edison
Tommy Phillips was the low man for the Wildcats with a 58 followed by Freshman Tristan Arnold with a 62. Ryan Dinger was 3rd on the team in scoring with a 67 and right behind was Nathan Kowalczyk with a 70 and Aiden Ferguson with a 75.

Wildcats Down Pilots
The Edison girls golf team defeated River High School in their opening match at home. The girls were lead by Pam Johnson who carded a 48 and took medalist honors. Makayla Wells was second on the team with a 53 followed by Zoe Shell with a 56. Rounding off the team score was Emily Adkins with a 60. Also playing in the match was Carley Taylor and Rylee Wells who each scored a 64.
