Two days after verbally committing to Virginia Tech, Wheeling Park’s Torrence Walker signed his National Letter of Intent to be a Hokie. Walker earned three gold medals at the West Virginia Class AAA state meet as he won the 100, 200 and 400. He broke the state record in the 100 as he clocked in at 10.50.
At OVAC’s, he broke the meet record in the 200 (21.69) and was a champion in the 100, 4x100 and 4x200. Individually, Walker holds the Wheeling Park record in the 100, 200 and 400. He was also on the record-breaking 4x100 team.
He is flanked by Lonnette Walker and Tasia Walker.
