YOUNGSTOWN -- The Linsly football team is not backing down from any challenges this season.
In the midst of a strong schedule, the Cadets kept rolling on Saturday as they upended host Cardinal Mooney by a 35-21 final, moving Linsly to 3-0 to start the season.
Quarterback Luca DiLorenzo did it all for Linsly as he raced in for two scores and found Malte Feil for another TD through the air.
The other two scores were turned in by the athletic Alex Taylor, who did the work on the ground to help lift the Cadets to another impressive win.
Mateo Dimitrioski was good on all five of his extra point tries.
Taylor led the rushing attack with 100 yards on 18 carries, while DiLorenzo tallied 76 yards and A.J. Sanders recorded 64.
Taylor also made five tackles and caused a fumble for the defense.
DiLorenzo completed 9 of his 13 passes for 107 yards and the defense was led by Brodie Selmon who collected 11 tackles, along with Stef Landwier with nine stops and an interception.
Feil finished the game with three receptions for 43 yards, while Nathan Coleman needed just two catches to rack up 31 yards.
Linsly is currently looking for an opponent for this upcoming week after Princeton was forced to cancel due to COVID restrictions.

Bishop Rosecrans 13
STEUBENVILLE -- Andrew Dorsey ran for 165 yards on 24 carries and punched in a 3-yard touchdown to seal a victory over Bishop Rosecrans.
Todd Jackson got the Crusaders on the board first with a 3-yard TD scamper in the opening frame.
Then, kicker David Kissinger drilled a 25-yarder for the early 10-0 advantage.
Following 13 unanswered points by Bishop Rosecrans made it a 13-10 margin, Dashon Seditz put the Crusaders ahead for good with a 1-yard touchdown run as Steubenville Catholic improved to 2-2 on the season, while Bishop Rosecrans fell to 1-3 on the campaign.
Steubenville Catholic did most of its damage on the ground as the team ran the ball 49 times for 250 yards.
The Crusaders defense also held Bishop Rosecrans to a total of 125 yards of offense.
