BYESVILLE -- The OVAC 5A champion Wheeling Park Patriots posted an impressive round of 320 to win an 18-hole match against OVAC 1A/2A champion Wheeling Central, 4A champion St. Clairsville and Meadowbrook on Monday.
The Patriots were 10 shots better than the Maroon Knights and 17 shots clear of the Red Devils.
Gavin Goodrich fired a 4-over, 76 to win the medalist honors. Wheeling Central's Nate Woods was second with a 77 and Justin Doerr was third with an 80.
Barnesville sweeps triangular
CADIZ -- The Shamrocks got a good look at the Cadiz Country Club course will challenge next Monday for the sectional by taking down host Harrison Central and Steubenville.
Monarchs stay hot
WHEELING -- Travis DeGarmo and Colton Sprowls shared co-medalist honors with scores of 38 to lead John Marshall (160) over Morgantown (174), Linsly (178), Steubenville Catholic (178) and University (181) at Oglebay's Jones Course.
Adam Gill paced Linsly with a 40.

Jets sweep Ferry
MARTINS FERRY -- Torre Kildow amassed 21 kills as Union Local swept Martins Ferry 25-13, 25-6 and 25-13.
Kelly Gress dished out 26 assists in the win and teammate Julie Broussard added 10 digs.
Cambridge sweeps Bellaire
CAMBRIDGE -- Homestanding Cambridge took down the Big Reds Monday evening by scores of 25-14, 25-23 and 25-13.
Leading Bellaire on the stat sheet were Allie Ault with six kills and seven digs, while Brooklyn Zonker had three kills and four digs.
Buckeye Local trips Bridgeport
CONNORVILLE -- The Panthers picked up a win in three sets on Monday, toppling invading Bridgeport by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-15.
The Panthers were led on the stat sheet by Shayleigh Hornyak's seven points and nine kills. Isabella Hepburn had eight aces, six kills and two blocks. Jaelee Thompson had four aces, while Kassidy George posted 13 digs.
Caldwell outlasts
Monroe Central
WOODSFIELD -- The invading Redskins pulled out a victory against the now 7-4 Seminoles by scores of 25-17, 18-25, 25-19, 16-25 and 15-12.
Monroe Central was led by Haylyn Hiles' 12 kills and five blocks.
Shenandoah sweeps Barnesville
SARAHSVILLE -- The Zeps proved to be too much for the Shamrocks in a 25-15, 25-13 and 25-19 sweep on Monday evening.
