Jordan, Henry and Thomas Captain 89th All-Valley Big School Football Team

Jacob Jordan

RB, St. Clairsville

Captain

This senior put forth a season that won't be forgotten anytime soon. Jordan was fed the ball often during games and tallied 1,701 yards on 212 carries and 27 touchdowns. He also caught two TDs.

Avery Henry

OL, St. Clairsville

Captain

This future Ohio State Buckeye recorded over 60 pancake blocks during his senior season, including 12 in a single game.

He graded out better than 90% for the season.

Colt Thomas

LB, Wheeling Park

Captain

Thomas made the most of his senior season, racking up 102 total tackles with 12 tackles for loss.

He also recorded three sacks with seven pass hurries in his third year as a starter.

Phaeton Hill

QB, Steubenville

While Ostovich powered Big Red's ground game, Hill directed the air attack.

The junior completed 52.4% of his passes for 1,979 yards and threw 17 touchdowns against just eight interceptions.

Drew Sefsick

QB, St. Clairsville

This senior made the most of his one and only season as the Red Devils starting quarterback.

En route to All-Ohio acclaim, Sefsick passed for 1,862 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also ran for 641 yards and nine touchdowns.

Hayden McCrate

RB, Union Local

This junior burst onto the scene and had a huge season.

McCrate rushed 176 times for 1,239 yards and scored 11 touchdowns. As a pass catcher, he hauled in 13 passes for 280 yards and added three more scores.

Spencer Ostovich

RB, Steubenville

This junior helped power a potent Steubenville offense by leading the rushing attack every week.

He rushed for 1,128 yards with a 6.84 yard per carry average and found the endzone 15 times.

Jacob Cusick

WR, Edison

This senior was a major cog in the Wildcats' impressive passing attack this season.

Cusick hauled in 46 passes for 712 yards -- a 15.5 yard per reception average -- and scored seven touchdowns.

Brenton Jones

WR, Steubenville

Jones was a big play machine for Big Red during his senior season.

He racked up 616 yards on just 29 catches -- good for a 21.2 yard per reception average -- and came down with eight touchdowns.

Colin Oberdick

WR, St. Clairsville

This Red Devil senior was a constant big-play threat all season.

Oberdick caught 44 passes for 1,014 yards and 13 touchdowns en route to first-team All-Ohio accolades for the second straight season.

Grant Neiswonger

OL, John Marshall

This senior helped pave the way for a Monarch rushing attack that topped the 25 touchdown mark this season.

He also racked up 58 tackles with six sacks and 14 tackles for loss on defense.

J.J. Orlando

OL, Indian Creek

This 6-1, 265-pound junior posted a 92% blokcing grade this season with four pancake blocks.

Ornaldo garnered All-OVAC honorable mention honors for his performance.

Matthew Smith

OL, Harrison Central

This two-way line standout was a key cog in the Huskies' success this season.

Smith was one of their top tacklers and a three-year mainstay at center as he earned All-District and several other accolades.

Gage Cline

UT, Edison

This junior signal-caller opened eyes with his stellar play this season.

As if throwing for 1,433 yards and 16 touchdowns was not enough, Cline also ran for 616 yards and a dozen more scores for the Wildcats.

Braelyn Sperringer

UT, Brooke

This sophomore was a first-year varsity quarterback and helped the Bruins to their first winning season since 2015.

He threw for 717 yards and seven touchdowns and ran for 452 yards and 10 more scores.

Carson Yobaggy

UT, Weir

This senior had 16 receptions for 446 yards -- a 27.9 yard per catch average -- and grabbed five touchdowns.

He also averaged 27 yards per kick return and scored one return touchdown.

Connor Fitzpatrick

K, John Marshall

This sophomore booted 30 extra points and made four field goals.

In a win over Trimble, Fitzpatrick kicked a 38-yard, game-tying field goal at the end of regulation and a game-winning PAT in overtime.

Erick Brothers Jr. DL, Wheeling Park

Brothers made play after play for the Patriots' defense this year with 60 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and even blocked a punt on special teams to wrap up his standout junior campaign.

Kye Fleming

DL, Steubenville

This senior helped hold down the Big Red defensive front.

Fleming was in on 21 total tackles and also picked up seven tackles for loss, three sacks and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Daniel Rawson

DL, Brooke

Rawson was a force for the Bruins, picking up four sacks in eight games this season.

His performance earned him first-team All-OVAC 5A and unanimous first-team All-Area honors from the Herald-Star.

Joey Simpson

DL, Edison

This sophomore made his mark playing for the Wildcat defense this season.

Simpson collected 30 total tackles and took opposing quarterbacks to the ground four times this season.

Nathan Bertolino

LB, Harrison Central

This senior made an impact on both sides of the ball.

As a running back, Bertolino posted 865 yards and scored eight touchdowns. He was also a standout on the defensive side as the Huskies' leading tackler.

Nate Menendez

LB, John Marshall

This senior led the Monarch defense with 76 total tackles this season.

Menendez also recorded 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception.

He chipped in 149 receiving yards and a TD on offense.

Tylik Sims

LB, Steubenville

This junior was all over the field for Big Red this season.

Sims was Steubenville's leading tackler while also recording four sacks, seven tackles for loss and an interception.

Aiden Flowers

DB, Oak Glen

Flowers had a productive sophomore season. He recorded 63 tackles, 50 being solo stops.

Flowers also made two tackles for loss, grabbed one interception and broke up five passes.

Cam McAfee

DB, Harrison Central

This freshman showed what could be in store for the future. Defensively, McAfee made 66 tackles with six interceptions.

On offense, he had 405 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns.

Nate Shelek

DB, Wheeling Park

Shelek proved his worth for the Patriots defense this season.

As a safety, the senior made 60 total tackles with six tackles for loss and three sacks. He also picked off a pass and broke up four more.

Niko Suriano

DB, Steubenville

This senior was a ball hawk for Big Red this season.

Suriano picked off five passes and recorded seven pass break ups. He also registered 17 tackles.

He was named All-OVAC 5A honorable mention.

Dakota Hess

UT, Union Local

Despite battling an injury, this senior put forth an impressive campaign.

Hess, from his linebacker spot, posted 36 tackles, including 7.5 for loss. He also had 2.5 sacks and two pass breakups.

Cam Jones

UT, Weir

Jones stuffed the stat sheet during his junior season.

Jones collected 22 tackles, seven assists, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

He also played on the Red Riders' offensive line.

Brandon Kinney

UT, Steubenville

Kinney had a knack for punching the ball out this season.

The senior forced three fubmles for Big Red this year.

He also recorded four sacks and picked up an interception.

Logan Shields

UT, St. Clairsville

This hard-nosed senior was the heart-and-soul of the Red Devils defensive unit this season.

Shields posted 33 solo tackles, forced two fumbles, broke up six passes, had a sack and a quarterback hurry.
