BETHANY -- Freshman Lindsey Garrison set a new single-season 3-point record for the Bethany Bison in a 66-51 victory over Franciscan Thursday.
Garrison, a product of nearby Wheeling Park High School, made three treys in Thursday's game, bringing her season total to 66, breaking the previous record set by Hayley Holenka in the 2015-16 season.
Garrison finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the Bison (18-8, 7-6 PAC) while also grabbing four boards and dishing out three assists.
Alexis Heap finished second with 12 points and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Makenzee Mason and Kelsire Meintel both finished with seven points.
Jazzlyn Melnyk led the Barons with 14 points, followed by 13 from Madison Doan.
Girls Basketball
North Marion 67, Cameron 54
CAMERON -- The Dragons took on a tough challenge, welcoming the No. 2 team in Class AA to town Thursday.
Playing up two levels, Cameron, the No. 2 team in Class A, gave the Huskies a battle but ultimately fell at home 67-54.
Kenzie Clutter paced Cameron with 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Ashlynn VanTassell contributed 13 points and pulled down 16 boards.
Emma Freels (18 points) and Olivia Toland (16) led North Marion in the victory.
Indian Creek 58, Brooke 40
WINTERSVILLE -- Indian Creek freshman sensation McKenna Scott outscored Brooke in the first half, and the point guard led the way as IC exacted revenge against the Bruins with a 58-40 victory Thursday night at home.
Scott tallied 24 of her game-high and career-high 29 points in the first half. Indian Creek led 35-23 at halftime.
Shilea Smith scored 11 points to help Indian Creek's cause. Scott hit four 3-pointers on the night, while Smith made one.
Patricia Diaz produced a team-high 10 points to lead the way for the Bruins, while Rylee Schwertfeger and Ava Bolen each recorded nine.
River 48, Magnolia 27
HANNIBAL - River picked up its second win in as many nights by securing a 48-27 victory against cross-river rival, Magnolia.
The Pilots were led by junior Hannah Raper who went for 15 points. Rylee Knight had 11 and Kelsey Harlan finished with eight.
Magnolia was paced by Abby Clegg's eight.
Beallsville 45, Caldwell 35
BEALLSVILLE - The Blue Devils picked up another victory on Thursday by toppling the invading Redskins.
Beallsville received a solid effort from Hallie Bommer, who poured in 18 points. Three other players scored six in top support.
Caldwell was led by Jules Hood's 16.
Valley 47, Bridgeport 38
PINE GROVE - The Lumberjills picked up a victory against the invading Bulldogs on Thursday.
Valley received 22 points from Higgins and 13 from Soles.
Bridgeport was led by Kaylee Bain's 17. Clemens added 10.
