WHEELING — The 35TH annual winners of “OVAC Bill Welker West Virginia and Ohio Wrestlers of the Year Award” were announced this week.

The recipients must be seniors and are chosen on the basis of personal wrestling accomplishments over their entire scholastic careers. This year’s winners are Cameron’s Ian Bush and Beaver Local High School’s Logan Ours.

Bush is a four-time Class A/AA, Region I champion and a two-time state champion.

He was named the Class A/AA Outstanding Wrestler twice and is a three-time OVAC Ron Mauck Tournament place-winner.

During his senior year, Bush went 40-2 and had a career record of 147-12.

Logan Ours is a four-time sectional champ, a four-time district champ and went 35-3 as a senior and 135-16 in his career.
