OVAC All-Star Basketball Games Set for Sunday
The basketball stars of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference are set to shine one more time.
Sixty seniors from all over the OVAC will converge on Wheeling Park High School’s Palace on the Hill Sunday to play in the annual OVAC Samuel A. Mumley All-Star Basketball Game.
The girls game will begin the day’s activities, tipping off at 1 p.m. and the boys game will follow at approximately 3 p.m.

Ohio Boys
Korey Beckett (Shadyside), Cameron Best (Buckeye Local), Tanner Bills (Frontier), Malachi Rose-Burton (Monroe Central), Cole Dailey (East Liverpool), Avery Henry (St. Clairsville), Shane Keenan (Toronto), Brandon Louden (Beallsville), Ryan McCort (St. Clairsville), Jaizen Miles (Martins Ferry), TC Molk (Dover), Skyler Pappas (Beaver Local), Kason Powell (Barnesville), Jonathan Vermillion (Harrison Central), Owen Ward (Bellaire) and Garson Imes (Conotton Valley). Coaching the Ohio squad are Ryan Clifford (St. Clairsville) and Jon Perkins (Monroe Central).
West Virginia Boys

Ohio Girls

Coaching the Ohio squad are Troy Baker (Monroe Central) and Jess Looman (Steubenville Central).
The Ohio boys squad actually has 16 names listed on its roster because Conotton Valley’s Garson Imes is injured and unable to play. He was injured in an automobile accident in February.
At halftime, the girls will compete in a 3-point shootout, while a slam dunk competition will be held at halftime of the boys game. Each state will select three competitors for both competitions.
Along with the games, there will be several special award presentations during the course of the afternoon.
Special award recipients are: Roxy Siburt (Thomas E. Rataiczak Timer/Scorekeeper Award), Al Kennedy (Richard Saffield Girls Coach Award), Joe Hissom (Robert Dawson Officials Award), Mike Granato (Earl Haberfield Boys Coach Award) and the late Bob Battista (Bob Burton Service Award).
On top of those, the Ohio Valley Board of Officials will present the annual Phil Lewton Sportsmanship Award to the St. Clairsville girls and Bridgeport boys programs.
