SISTERSVILLE -- Hayden Brown fired a complete game with six strikeouts to lead Tyler Consolidated to the Matt Boggs Memorial Wooden Bat Tournament Championship over Frontier.
Owen Westbrook garnered a hit and two RBI, while Brown connected for a pair of hits.
Ty Walton delivered a triple and a RBI, while Jayden Helmick, Zade Billings and Alec Chaplin all had a hit and drove in a run.

DODDRIDGE -- Doddridge County plated 31 runs in a double-header sweep of Paden City.
In the opener, the Wildcats were led by Joey Baker with a RBI.
In the nightcap, Baker had two hits and Kayden Myers added a hit and a RBI.

MARTINS FERRY - The Purple Riders bounced back from their first loss of the season impressively by blanking invading Monroe Central.
Senior ace Colby Shriver was once again brilliant on the bump, scattering four singles and striking out six in the complete-game gem.
Jesse Nagel had two doubles and a like number of RBi, while Ayden Ludolph had a single, double and RBI. Colin Snedeker had a single, double and drove in a run.

CADIZ - The Red Devils put the brakes on a three-game losing skid by toppling in the Huskies in eight innings.
The Red Devils rallied from a three-run deficit and got solid work in relief from sophomore Hunter Hoffman, who came on in the fourth to earn the win.
Both sophomore Mason Myers and senior Joey Balgo had three singles and two RBI. Austin Porter had a single and two RBI and sophomore Braylon Blomquist had two base hits.
Harrison Central received a triple and two RBI from junior standout Treston Nemeth.

SARAHSVILLE - The Panthers picked up a pair of wins against the Zeps on Saturday thanks to some impressive offense.
Buckeye Local pounded out 26 hits in the two games.
In the opener, Ethan McHugh had a double, single and drove in five. Trey Hoover had a double, two singles and drove in four. Gavyn Romanyak had two singles and drove in three.
In the nightcap, McHugh continued to terrorize the Zeps. He had three doubles and drove in five more runs. Jesse Meddles had a double and two singles. Hoover doubled home a run and Jacob Berry and Corey Olinski each had a RBI single.

CHILLICOTHE - The Tigers suffered their second loss of the season when they took part in the Prep Baseball Report showcase event against the Division I Bombers.
Shadyside snagged a 1-0 lead after one, but St. Xavier struck for seven in the second and never looked back.
The Tigers received a strong effort from Rhys Francis, who had a double and a triple. Mason VanNest had a triple, single and two RBI. Senior Logan Crozier had a single and RBI.

SARAHSVILLE - The Zeps were simply too much, twice, for the Panthers on Saturday in sweeping a twinbill.
In the opener, Charli Wickham got the win in the circle and also had two doubles and a single. Mya Leach had two doubles.
Rylie White led the Panthers with a double, single and two RBI. Madison Roset had a RBI double.
In the second game, Wickham had another big game at the plate with three singles and four RBI. Leach was the winner in the circle.
The Panthers were led by White again. She had a solo home run and Alexa Williams had a double and two RBI.

Wheeling 16, Davis & Elkins 6
WHEELING -- Mike Anderson netted five goals and delivered an assist as Wheeling University roared past Davis & Elkins.
Jacob Knippel turned in three goals and three assists in the win, while teammate Brody Fawver garnered four goals and an assist.

West Liberty 1-3
BUCKHANNON -- West Liberty fell in a pair of games on the road to West Virginia Wesleyan.
Katie Beeman collected a double and a RBI in the opener.
Annie Paterson belted a home run and drove in two in the nightcap, while Jairika Baylor and Riley Bennington each tallied two hits for the Hilltoppers.
Davis & Elkins 7-10, Wheeling 0-1
ELKINS -- Davis & Elkins had no trouble quieting visiting Wheeling.
The Cards were shutout in the opener and Makie Paxson plated the team's only run in the nightcap with a hit.

Wheeling Strong in Lewisburg
Lewisburg, PA. - On day one of the Bison Outdoor Classic, the Wheeling Women's Track & Field team saw many of their distance runners compete. On day two, it was time for the sprinters and mid-distance runners to take the lead as day two began. They had many strong performances on the track as they wrapped up the day and continued to improve their times.
One of the top performances of the day came in the 100 Meter Hurdle as three different Cardinals took the course. Leading the way was Isha Sesay, who won the Mountain East Conference (MEC) 60-Meter Hurdle Indoor Championship, led the way finishing 13th in the event with a time of 14.80 seconds.
The other two competitors were Jenay Soumahro and Tara Perry as each competed in their first event. Soumahro took home 23rd at 15.30 while Perry finished 33rd at 15.70 seconds. It was a strong start for the team and the sprinters continued that momentum throughout the day as they competed in their different events.
The mid distance runners were up next in the 800-Meter Run as Caroline Fodor was back in action on day two. Fodor finished the race in 2:17.03, good for 33rd in the field, as she continues her dominance of the mid-distance events. The sprinters we're back at it in the 100-meter dash with Susan Trammel and Daja Ryals leading the charge.
Trammel was 41st in the field with a time of 12.89 seconds while Ryals came in 53rd with a time of 13.05 seconds. Soumahro was back in action in the 400-Meter Hurdles finishing 1:06.11 while Keala McCurry saw her first action on the track finishing in 1:07.20. The final track event of the day was the Women's 200-Meter dash as Ka'Niyah McGowan finished the day with a 24th place finish with a time of 25.90 seconds.
