HUNTINGTON — Spring Valley broke a 3-3 tie with a run in the fifth inning to defeat visiting John Marshall 4-3 on Thursday.

Ethan Neely homered, singled and drove in a pair of runs for John Marshall, while Chase Kerns drove in the other run for the Monarchs.

Steubenville 8, Harrison Central 2

CADIZ — Hakim Edwards garnered two hits, a double and a RBI as Steubenville upended Harrison Central.

J.D. Ellis tallied two hits and three RBI for Big Red.

Treston Nemeth paced the Huskies with two hits, a double and a RBI.

Toronto 11, Lisbon 1

TORONTO — Zeb Kinsey had a day at the plate as he belted a home run, doubled, singled twice and turned in five RBI as Toronto routed Lisbon.

Evan Wolter garnered a single, a double and three RBI in the win and Zane Kinsey recorded two doubles and a RBI.

BARNESVILLE — Jalyn Skinner produced three hits and a RBI but Barnesville fell to visiting Shenandoah.

Maddie Shaffer recorded a triple for the Shamrocks.

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Brad Goodyear belted a two-run home run for the Hilltoppers in the top of the ninth but it was too little, too late as California (Pa) topped West Liberty at Wild Things Park. Goodyear paced West Liberty’s 10-hit attack with a home run, single and three RBIs.

James Salvatori had a double and single while Kaden Blomquist doubled and knocked in a run. Jake Sherman also doubled for the Black and Gold.
