Members of the Wheeling Park High School wrestling team were honored at the Ohio Valley Mall Wednesday afternoon for winning the Patriots’ first state wrestling championship since 2006. The school’s speech and debate team also was set to be recognized for securing its 42nd consecutive state title but could not attend due to a scheduling conflict. In addition to being congratulated by Joe Bell, spokesman for the mall’s parent Cafaro Co., the school received a $10,000 donation from the Cafaro Foundation, and each student-athlete was given a $15 mall gift card.
