Hawkins, Livingston, Scott and Sechrest Captain 2022 All-Valley Track & Field Team
File Photos The 2022 All-Valley Track and Field team is captained by, left to right, Wheeling Park’s Jerrae Hawkins, Steubenville’s Amya Livingston, Wheeling Central’s Aidan Scott and Bellaire’s Colt Sechrest. Hawkins, a sprinter, won state titles in the 100 and 200. Livingston, a thrower, earned a bronze medal in the shot put at state. Scott won all three long-distance races at the W.Va. state meet. Sechrest, a thrower, set a new Ohio Valley all-time record in discus with a throw of 189-2.
Jerrae Hawkins
Wheeling Park, Captain
Following in the footsteps of former teammate Torrence Walker, this Wheeling Park rising junior proved he is the fastest boy in West Virginia by winning state titles in both the 100 and 200 in Charleston.
Despite missing parts of the season with an injury, he starred at the state meet, with winning times of 10.54 in the 100 and 21.48 in the 200.

Amya Livingston
Steubenville, Captain
The future University of Kentucky Wildcat capped her prep career with a third-place in the shot put finish at the Ohio state meet.
En route to Columbus, Livingston won regional and district titles in shot put and was a dual OVAC champion in the shot put and discus.
She also placed 13th in the discus at the state meet.

Aidan Scott
Wheeling Central, Captain
This Wheeling Central rising junior stands alone as the top distance runner in Class A.
Adding to his cross country state title from the fall, Scott swept the distance events at this year’s WVSSAC state track meet, earning gold in the 800, 1600 and 3200.
His late kick wowed the fans and baffled his competitors in Charleston.

Colt Sechrest
Bellaire, Captain
This Big Reds senior will go down as the greatest discus thrower in Ohio Valley history.
He set a new all-time Ohio Valley record with a heave of 189-2, which is also the Nelson Field Stadium Record.
Sechrest was the Buckeye 8, OVAC, District and Region champion and placed fourth at the Division II state meet. He was named the OVAC meet MVP.
Konner Allison
Oak Glen
This Oak Glen senior won a pair of silver medals at the state meet in distance events.
Allison ran 1:59.56 for second- place in the 800.
His time of 4:20.76 in the 1600 also set a new school record.
Shane Anderson
Paden City
Anderson came back from the state meet in with three medals in tow.
Individually, he took third in the high jump and fourth in the 110 hurdles.
He was also on PC’s third-place shuttle hurdle team.
Jenna Blain
Magnolia
This rising junior medalled four times in Charleston.
She finished second in the 300 hurdles and fourth in the 200.
She also anchored the third-place 4×200 and fourth-place 4×400 relay teams.
Cooper Blair
Wheeling Central
Blair earned his first career state titles in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
He ran with teammates Riley Watkins, Braden McWreath and Lorenzo Ferrera.
The Central grad also placed fifth in the 100 and 200.
Josh Fancher
Toronto
This Toronto senior was a state qualifier in both the shot put and discus this season.
On his road to Columbus, Fancher claimed titles in both events at the district meet and won the OVAC shot put title.
Emma Henry
St. Clairsville
Henry broke out in the short sprints during her sophomore season.
It began when she claimed OVAC titles in the 100 and 200. She also won the 100 at districts and had top-six finishes in both events at the state meet.
Tyler Jenkins
Barnesville
This Shamrock senior capped his prep career with a fourth-place finish in the 3200 in Columbus.
He was a triple OVAC champ in the 1600, 3200 and 4×800 and won four MOVL titles.
JyLeik Johnson
Linsly
This soon-to-be senior led Linsly’s OVAC Class 3A title team.
Johnson won OVAC titles in the 100 and 200.
He also won the 4×100 relay with Malte Feil, Colby Gibbons and Atley Cowan.
Inky Jones
Steubenville
Big Red won a share of the OVAC 5A title in the final event of the meet thanks to Jones.
He won OVAC titles in the 200, 400, 4×400 and 4×800 relays.
Jones finished fourth in the 400 in Columbus.
Sabria Jones
Steubneville
A four-time state qualifier, Jones stayed busy in Columbus competing in the 100, long jump and 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
She was on the podium three times at state and also won an OVAC title in the long jump.
Camryn Mowder
John Marshall
Missing her high school graduation was worth it when the gold medal was put around Mowder’s neck in Charleston.
The JM grad won the Class AAA state title in the high jump, the first of her career.
Wyatt Reiman
Shadyside
The area’s premier high jumper, Reiman cleard 6-8 this season.
He was an OVAC and district champion, a regional runner-up and finished 11th in Columbus.
He also won OVAC titles in the 4×1 and 4×4 relays.
Brady Renner
Magnolia
The lone returner on the Blue Eagles’ two-time 4×800 state title relay team.
He ran with three new teammates, Lucas Zombotti, Landen Davis and Jordan Davis.
He also medalled in the 800.
Johnny Sabinski
Union Local
Another decorated thrower, Sabinski was a state qualifier in both shot put and discus.
In shot put, he finished fifth at state and won Buckeye 8, OVAC, District and Regional championships.
Clara Symington
Steubenville CC
A triple state qualifier, Symington made her mark at the OVAC championships.
In leading the Crusaders to a Class 1A/2A team title, she won the 100 and 300 hurdles and the 4×2 and 4×4 relays.
Emily Thompson
St. Clairsville
This senior earned her third straight All-Ohio honors in pole vault.
She was the Buckeye 8, OVAC and district champion before finishing sixth at state.
She also set a new school record.
Mason VanNest
Shadyside
This senior finished as an All-Ohioan in both the 100 and 200.
He was the Division III state runner-up in the 200 and was fourth in the 100.
He won OVAC and district titles in both events.
Kamela Ward
Oak Glen
This sophomore won her first state title as an individual, earning gold in the 200 in Charleston.
She also won a second-place medal in the 100 and another as a member of OG’s sixth-place 4×400 team.
Anna Yater
Barnesville
This soon-to-be Dayton Flyer earned her first All-Ohio honor with an eighth-place finish in the shot put in Columbus.
She also won OVAC and regional titles in the event and an OVAC discus championship.
