Wheeling Post 1’s JV Team captured the Red Division crown during this year’s Beast of the East Classic on Saturday. In an 8-3 win over the Wooster Golden Gloves, Nate Simon pitched a complete game, while also delivering a single, a double and a RBI. Jaxon Murray supplied two doubles and three RBI, while Rocco DiGiandomenico added three hits. In a 10-0 win over the IronPigs, Murray garnered two singles, a double and two RBI, Tino Nardone generated a triple and two RBI, DiGiandomenico doubled and drove in a run and Seth Cover and Kyle White each singled and collected a RBI for the champions.
