Linsly Tops Fort Frye in 5
WHEELING — It took the full five sets, but Linsly came out on top of Fort Frye Wednesday, 17-25, 25-23, 28-25, 16-25 and 25-9.
Ava Gainer stood out for the hosts with 22 kills and 47 assists. London Podobnik supplied 31 assists of her own while Rumer Beazel had 11 kills and Avery Sadlowski recorded 10.

Fort Frye Takes Triangular
MOUNDSVILLE — The Cadets of Fort Frye won by two strokes in a girls’ golf match at the Moundsville Country Club Wednesday.
Fort Frye shot 215, two better than host John Marshall’s 217.
FF sophomore Denay Layton shot 46 on the nine-hole course to claim medalist honors. Monroe Central, who did not field a full team, was led by Ashley Weckbacher’s 50.
JM teammates Payten Clark and Jocelyn Blatt both shot 51 in a tie for third.
The JM girls finish the season with a 21-14 record.
Frontier Wins at Tyler
SISTERSVILLE — Frontier shot 179 to top Williamstown (183) and Tyler (217) Wednesday.
Mason Nichols led the Silver Knights with a 4-over 38.
