Tyler Falls to Ritchie County
SISTERSVILLE — Tyler Consolidated fell to visiting Ritchie Country in four sets, 26-24, 25-7, 22-25 and 25-18.
Braeden Wall led the Knights with 13 kills, two blocks and two aces. Julianna Lattea racked up six kills with eight blocks. Tanley McEldowney charted 11 digs while Caitlyn Northcraft had 25 assists with nine digs, four blocks and three aces.
Tyler is now 15-8 and will play at Wirt County on Thursday.
Shadyside sweeps St. Clairsville
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Shadyside continued its late-season success by posting a sweep of the Red Devils by scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-22.
The Tigers were led by senior standout Gentry Brown’s 22 kills and 19 digs. She also had six blocks and an ace. Bayleigh Harman had 17 assists and two aces. Macy Hendershot had 12 digs and three kills, while Janelle Greenwood and Josey Greenwood evenly divided 22 digs. Ali Weatherson had 11 assists.
Ferry edges Buckeye Local
MARTINS FERRY — The Purple Riders needed four sets, but picked up another win by toppling the Panthers by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-17.
On the stat sheet, the Riders were led by Sydney Koller’s four aces, 20 kills and 18 digs. Lindsay Best had six aces, 11 kills and 23 digs. Hannah Meeker posted three aces, four kills and 13 digs. McKenzie Carte added 10 kills and three blocks. Kelsi Gillespie posted eight digs.
Buckeye Local was led by Sam Ankrom’s 28 digs. Pam Kandrach added four kills and 21 assists to go along with 25 digs and three aces. Brynn McKeever posted four aces and 16 digs. Morgan Richardson was charted for six kills, two blocks, 11 digs and nine assists. Jaelee Thompson had eight kills and two aces, while Shaylee Hornyak had 16 kills, seven blocks and eight digs.
Dover sweeps Harrison
CADIZ — Dover made quick work of the Huskies on Tuesday, winning in three sets by scores of 25-5, 25-16 and 25-12.
The Huskies were led by Olivia Tonkovich, who had nine kills and four points. Nadia Tweedy had three kills and a block, while Maddy Butler posted 12 digs.
