Magnolia, Oak Glen, Morgantown Post Sectional Tournament Wins

NEW MARTINSVILLE - Magnolia blanked visiting Madonna, 7-0, in a W.Va. Class A Sectional softball tournament contest on Monday.

Bella Conner singled twice and doubled to drive in a run. Haydn Bland and Macy Delaney each had two hits and an RBI. Olivia Stine scattered three singles.

Magnolia meets Wheeling Central today at Ben's Field. The Blue Eagles must beat the Maroon Knights twice for the sectional title.

Oak Glen 7, Weir High 1

NEW MANCHESTER - Lizzie Kell fanned 14 and Sarah Brown drove in two runs with three hits for the Golden Bears.

W.Va. Class AAA Sectional

Morgantown 11, Brooke 3

MORGANTOWN - Maddie Brown had three singles and Alexis Foresha added a two-run double. Emilee McKinney also had two singles.

The Mohigans (18-9) play at John Marshall today needing a win to stay alive. The teams split in the regular season, but the Monarchs pounded Morgantown last week in the sectional opener.

Meadowbrook 11, St. Clairsville 10

BYESVILLE -- The Colts scored nine runs in its final two at-bats to stun the Red Devils.

The Colts found themselves down 10-2 in the sixth when a weather delay was needed.

Red Devils senior Abby Salisbury had a double, single and drove in two. Emily Dubinsky had two singles and two RBI, while Noel Habig had two singles and two RBI. Rachel Finnical singled home a run.

The Colts will host Bellaire on Thursday.

Bellaire 3, Buckeye Trail 0

ST. JOE - Majestique Jackson struck out nine and allowed just five hits as the Big Reds (8-14) blanked the visiting Warriors (5-20).

Lizzie McAninch had the game-winning RBI with a bases-loaded walk in the first inning. Sophia Porter would add an RBI double. Jackson had an RBI single.
