OVBL: Maynard Tops Barton Again, Closes In

MAYNARD - Defending champion Maynard is making a late season push for the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Ohio Valley Baseball League playoffs.

For the third straight time Wednesday night, the Indians (14-4) defeated rival Barton, this time by a 9-7 count on Firemen's Field inside the Community Park.

Tyler Ramsey belted a two-run homer and Mason VanNest added a single and double that produced two runs. Ryan Florence chipped in a two-run single.

Chris McIntire went the first four innings to pick up the mound win.

Josh Speaker singled twice for the Braves. Trevor Thomas singled in a run.
