High School Roundup: John Marshall, Tyler Consolidated Grab Late-Season Home Victories

GLEN DALE - The John Marshall Monarchs swept the Weir Red Riders on Thursday, 25-23, 25-22, 25-8.

For the Monarchs, Danica Deem totaled 33 assists, 14 service points and three aces. Kaylie Derrow had 15 kills and 11 digs, while Reese Ward and Masyn Inclan each finished with 11 digs.

Tyler Consolidated Gets Best Of Bruins

SISTERSVILLE - With the playoffs around the bend, the Tyler Consolidated Knights swept the Brooke Bruins on Thursday, 25-15, 25-9, 25-16.

Braeden Wall had 13 kills, two digs, four aces and five points for Tyler, while Mya Fetty had 12 points and 11 assists.

Macie Highley had 16 digs, three aces and eight points, Juls Lattea had eight kills and four blocks, and Katie Grimm had six kills, seven digs, four blocks, five aces and 15 points.

Ray Heintzman finished with 12 assists, five digs and six points to round out the Tyler standouts.

The Knights' sectional play opens Monday, Oct. 30 at home against St. Marys.
