ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Cambridge ended St. Clairsville's unbeaten streak at 14 with a 3-1 triumph Tuesday in the Buckeye 8 championship baseball game at Memorial Park.
The Red Devils (14-1) only mustered three hits and committed four errors in the defeat.
Caiden Bailey tripled for St. Clairsville. Hunter Hoffman took the mound loss despite seven strikeouts and no walks.
Martins Ferry 8, Edison 1
RICHMOND - Freshman Hunter Shutler went the distance on the mound and singled thrice to lead the Purple Riders over the host Wildcats. He fanned a pair and scattered four singles.
Turner Krol singled twice to drive in three runs and Ayden Ludolph delivered a two-run double.
Martins Ferry scored seven times in the top of the seventh to break the game wide open.
Linsly 10, Dover 4
DOVER - Linsly scored seven times in the top of the seventh in defeating the Tornadoes. Andrew Skadra drove in three runs with a single and double while Alex Taylor had a single, double and knocked in two runs.
Dillon Wilson drove in two runs with a single and double, while also picking up the mound win with eight strikeouts and three walks in six innings.
Parkersburg 1, John Marshall 0
PARKERSBURG - Tommy Clegg allowed just six hits, fanned five and walked one but the Monarchs couldn't generate any offense.
Clegg and Hayden Gaiser evenly split four singles.
Paden City 10, Bridgeport 0
PADEN CITY - Kayden Myers struck out 10 in firing a one-hitter against the visiting Bulldogs.
Joey Baker hit a two-run homer for the Wildcats (14-7). Garrett Parrish rapped a two-run double and Myers singled home a run.
River 14, Magnolia 1
HANNIBAL - Kaden Hunt singled four times and drove in four runs as the Pilots mercy-ruled the visiting Blue Eagles. He also earned the win on the mound with seven Ks. Hunter Nething had three singles and an RBI.
The Pilots scored 12 times in the bottom of the fourth.
Wheeling Central 4, Madonna 3
WEIRTON - The Maroon Knights took a close one against the Blue Dons.
Braxton Billick, Eli Tucker, Gary Hatfield and Seth Cover- the top four in the Central lineup- each tallied an RBI for the Knights to reach their total. The visitors ran roughshod on the basepaths with five stolen bases.
Steven Brodegard pitched five innings in his start to earn the win, while Brady Ernest pitched three innings in relief. They combined for 11 strikeouts.

Union Local 5, Buckeye Local 4
MORRISTOWN - The hosts pushed a run across in the bottom of the seventh for the win.
Alli Kellaway belted a two-run homer for Union Local, while Laken Vinskovich singled twice and Breanna Barbe doubled in two runs.
Heather Kovalski slugged a two-run homer for the Panthers.
Monroe Central 7, Magnolia 2
WOODSFIELD - Ryleigh Winland drove in two runs with a pair of doubles as the Seminoles topped the visiting Blue Eagles.
River 4, Bellaire 1
ST. JOE - The Pilots bounced back from their OVAC Class 2A Tournament loss on Monday as Ava Wohnhas fired a one-hitter on the Bellaire Middle School diamond.
Wohnhas struck out 11, walked none and permitted just one hit.
Kelsey Harlan doubled and Alexis Green singled in a run.
Majestique Jackson struck out seven and walked four in taking the loss.
Steubenville 2, Wheeling Park 1
STEUBENVILLE - Big Red walked off their contest against the Patriots with a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Gracey Bowman and Emma Lyons each had RBI for Big Red while Faith Randolph had an RBI triple for Park.
