Brooke Announces Hiring Of New Head Football Coach
WELLSBURG –The Brooke Bruins will have a new headman in their locker room for 2024.
Brooke has hired Casey Goff to take over the football program, the Bruins football team announced through their X account Monday night.
Goff comes to Brooke by way of The College of New Jersey, where he had been head coach, special teams coordinator and defensive line coach since 2017.
Goff led the Lions to a 5-5 record last season and had posted a 20-38 record at New Jersey, who compete in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). Goff and his assistants were named NJAC Co-Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023.
Goff enters the Bruins program after the school accepted the resignation of Mac McLean in March, who had been head coach for 10 years.
The Bruins have gone 5-5 each of the last two seasons, and last made the postseason in 2015.
Brooke’s new head coach will take over in a recently reshuffled West Virginia football scene, as Brooke will compete in Class 3A in the sport’s new four-class system next year.
