Wheeling resident Nick Sparachane scored a hole-in-one at Fairway River Links golf course in Rayland on hole No. 5, a 130-yard Par 3. He used a pitching wedge to accomplish the feat on June 14. It was witnessed by Jim Beatty and Tuffy Green. Sparachane is a local businessman and also a former two-term mayor of Wheeling.
