Ex-WVU Defensive Coordinator Jordan Lesley Faces Domestic Battery Charge
Former West Virginia University defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley was arrested Friday in Monongalia County on one charge of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to information from the West Virginia Judiciary’s magistrate court database. He was processed into the North Central Regional Jail at 4:40 a.m. Saturday.
Lesley appeared before a magistrate Saturday, where he pleaded not guilty and posted a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. The Monongalia County Sheriff’s office was the arresting agency, according to the database. No other information was available.
Lesley, who had been on WVU’s football staff since 2019, had served as defensive line coach, co-defensive coordinator and defensive coordinator during his tenure. He was dismissed from WVU’s staff on Oct. 29 during the Mountaineers’ last bye week. He was replaced by inside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Koonz.
