The Linsly swim team finished its season as thirteen members of the team qualified and competed at the Eastern Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships held Friday and Saturday, February 15th and 16th at Franklin and Marshall University in Lancaster, Pa.
The Cadets' Sofia Azcutia, Maral Batsanal, Cassio Bendinelli, Rocco D'Aquila, Sophie Funke, Ana Garcia, Pablo Hernandez, Sebastian Jayakumar, Jasmine Laurence, Grace Norman, Greta Temporin, Calvin Wong and Jalen Wong participated in the meet.
All six relays placed.
The women's 200 medley relay team of Temporin, Batsanal, Lourenco and Funke finished 23rd, and the men's 200 medley relay team of Hernandez, Jayakamur, Bendinelli and D'Aquila placed 21st.
The women's 200 freestyle relay team of Temporin, Norman,Batsanal, and Lourenco placed 22nd, and the men's 200 freestyle relay team of D'Aquila, Jayakumar, Hernandez, and Bendenelli placed 23rd
The women's 400 freestyle relay team of Norman, Garcia, Funke and Azccutia placed 22nd, and the men's 400 freestyle relay team of Jayakumar, D'Aquila, C. Wong and J. Wong placed 21st.
Individually, Maral Batsanal qualified and placed in two events- the 100 freestyle, where she placed 21st with a 53.79, and the 100 breaststroke, where she broke the Linsly school record with a 1:07.08, good for 18th at the meet.
Out of 40 teams, Linsly's women placed 23rd, and the Cadet men placed 26th for a combined score placing them 29th.
