WOTC’s Adult Beginner Camp Begins Wednesday
The Wheeling Oglebay Tennis Club will offer its Adult Beginner Camp starting on Wednesday, July 2, from 6-8 .m. at the Oglebay Horne Family Racquet Center.
The camp is for those who want to learn the basics or those who are returning to the game from a long hiatus.
Camp will run the four Wednesdays in July.
Instruction will focus on the different strokes and improving the techniques needed for developing basic skills. Participants will also get to compete in various group games. By the last week, the goal is that these adults will be able to serve, play points, and keep score.
The camp will be run by local professional Jeremy McClelland along with adult volunteers from the WOTC.
The cost for all four weeks is $20. The WOTC can offer the camp at this rate thanks to sponsorships, grants, and proceeds from the national tournaments held at Oglebay.
Additional Information and the registration link are available on the club’s website, wotennisclub.weebly.com.
