High School Roundup: Union Local, Oak Glen Each Secure Shutouts
CAMBRIDGE – Union Local won for the fourth consecutive time with a 48-0 shellacking of Cambridge Friday night at McFarland Stadium in Guernsey County. The Jets are now 5-2 and will travel to Buckeye Local next Friday.
Brody Perzanowski only carried the ball four times but picked up 132 yards and scored touchdowns on gallops of 46 and 84 yards. Kolten Snyder, Seth Schumacher and Colby Carpenter all ran for touchdowns.
Carpenter and Evan Poziviak combined to go 7-for-7 through the air for 159 yards and two touchdowns, Carpenter connected on all three of his tosses for 126 yards and found Max Duncan for a 77-yard score. Poziviak hit Kam Gordon for 17 yards as he went 3-for-3 for 33 yards.
The Bobcats (0-7) managed just 103 total yards in losing for the 28th straight time.

NEW MANCHESTER – Maddox Bowen passed for 167 yards and a touchdown as the Golden Bears (5-1) blanked the visiting Crusaders (4-3). He completed 11 of 13.
Logan Murray carried the ball 21 times for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Oak Glen plays at Bridgeport next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
