SPRINGBORO – Olivia Baker’s hope for rain showers Tuesday for Day 2 of the Ohio Division II Girls State Golf Tournament proved a little too much.

The inclement weather in southwestern Ohio forced the scheduled two-day tournament into a one-day event, thus leaving the St. Clairsville senior tied for fifth with a 2-over-par 73, just three shots off the pace set by Columbus Academy’s Eva Lim.

Baker did earn first team all-Ohio honors for her round on Monday. It was her third trip to the state tournament during her four-year career.
