ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Red Devils (0-2) cut a 10-point halftime deficit to three after three quarters but ran out of steam as the visiting Redskins prevailed on John Jenkins Court.

Elizabeth Morgan scored 21 points for injury-riddled St. Clairsville. Bryce Powell and Cora Rainey had five each.

Monroe Central Girls Earn Win

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Seminoles defeated East Richland 1,159 to 1,039 in girls’ action at St. Clair Lanes.

Shannon Shepherd rolled a 106 game and finished with a 203 series, while teammate Alice Ruegg checked in with a 109 and 194.

Haley Weaver led East Richland with a 120 game and 206 series.

Brooke, Beaver Local Split Matches

WELLSBURG – The Bruins’ Brady Yost rolled a 415 series in two games (212-203) while teammate Ty Lallone added a 307 as Brooke boys fell, 2083-1927.

Chastity Stevey had a 256 and Tori Whitehead a 2523 but the Bruins girls dropped a 1556-1457 match.
