Shamrocks Sweep Bruins; Linsly Terrific In Tri
WELLSBURG — The Barnesville Shamrocks boys and girls bowling squads picked up wins over the Brooke Bruins on Wednesday inside Brooke Lanes.
BOYS
Barnesville 2157, Brooke 1946
Brooke’s Jason Beliveau rolled a 211 with a 388 series. Teammate Ty Lallone rolled a 350 series.
Barnesville’s Cole Eddy rolled a 370 series and Bo Petling rolled a 204 with a 364 series.
GIRLS
Barnesville 1730, Brooke 1385
The Shamrocks’ Payton Bell had the high-game and high-series between the two teams, rolling a 178 with a 330 series. Trisha Johnson was close behind, rolling a 176 with a 321 series.
The Bruins’ Kaylee Tuttle rolled a 151 with a 295 series.

SWIMMING
Linsly Girls Sweep, Boys Split
WHEELING – The Cadets swam against Beaver Local and Indian Creek in a triangular meet. The girls swept both matches, while the boys split.
GIRLS
Adriana Lopez Alonso won the 100 Freestyle (58.93) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:12.46) as the Cadets prevailed 119-36 over the Redskins and 110-56 over the Beavers.
Beaver Local topped Indian Creek, 94-44.
BOYS
Sebastian Jayakumar captured the 100 Butterfly (1:00.27) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:06.55) as the Cadets defeated Indian Creek, 106-49, but fell to Beaver Local, 89-79.
The Beavers defeated Creek, 89-71.
