PARKERSBURG — The Magnolia Blue Eagles fell in Wednesday’s Class A, Region 1 Boys Basketball Co-Final, the Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders defeating the Blue Eagles and punching a spot in the upcoming state tournament in a 47-32 victory.

Noah Hodd led Magnolia with 13 points. The Blue Eagles led 12-9 after the first quarter, but trailed 22-19 by halftime and 35-29 after three quarters.

Parkersburg Catholic’s Preston Randolph scored 17 points to lead his team.

CHARLES TOWN — Washington advanced to the Class AAAA state tournament with a victory over Wheeling Park.

JD Williams and Jordan Beck-James each scored 12 to lead Park.

Kris Doleman scored 31 for Washington.
