The Wheeling Nailers are headed home with their backs against the wall.

A second-period goal from Zach Berzolla was all the Florida Everblades needed to beat the Nailers 1-0 in Game 2 of the ECHL Kelly Cup Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night in Estero, Florida. Now the Nailers will come back to the Friendly City down 2-0 in the series.

Nailers goalie Taylor Gauthier recorded 29 saves on the night, but it was the one he missed that made the difference. Berzolla found the back of the net 29 seconds into the second period.

Everblades goalie Cam Johnson turned away all 20 shots he faced.

The Nailers will now host the Everblades in Wheeling starting with Game 3 on Wednesday. The puck is scheduled to drop at 7:10 p.m. Game 4 will happen at WesBanco Arena on Friday, May 29, at 7:10 p.m. Game 5, if necessary, comes Saturday, May 30.
