Ohio Valley Baseball League To Start Taking Swings Sunday
One of the summer staples is ready to take its swings again.
The Ohio Valley Baseball League will take to the field Sunday when Maynard travels to Bethany in a season opener at 1 p.m.
In addition to the aforementioned squads, the other two are Crescent and Barton.
The Braves are the defending champions and will play their home games on Henning Field inside Premesa Park in Crescent. The Hitmen will once again utilize the diamond at Martins Ferry High School for home games, while the Brewers play at Bethany College and the Indians will use Firemen’s Field inside the Maynard Community Park.
Games will be played on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Sunday games start at 1 p.m., with Wednesday and Friday games beginning at 6 p.m.
Each team will play 20 regular-season games throughout May and June. The playoffs are scheduled to start on Sunday, July 5.
