WVU gains commitment from 2027 wide receiver

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia football earned a commitment for its second wide receiver for the 2027 class. Wide receiver Jacobi Pasley has reportedly committed to the Mountaineers, according to On3.

Pasley is a Hinesville, Georgia, native and played his junior season at Bradwell Institute, playing receiver and defensive back. In his junior season, Pasley had 25 catches for 430 yards and six touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. He was also a threat out of the backfield and in the kick return game. Pasley racked up 688 all-purpose yards.

Pasley is a speedster. He runs a 4.40 40-yard dash, according to his Hudl, and runs the 100 meter in 10.44. Pasley isn’t rated yet on most recruiting sites, but he should add some speed to the receiver room.

Pasley is the ninth commitment of the class, and the third offensive player. The Mountaineers are heavily recruiting defense early on this spring, and just the other day, landed consensus 4-star corner Carter Bonner. WVU’s 2027 is shaping up to be another good high school haul, but it’s still really early to tell.

Starting at $2.99/week.
