Union Local Jets Summer Slam Girls Shootout Set

MORRISTOWN – The third annual 2026 Union Local Jets Summer Slam Girls Basketball Shootout will be held on Friday with 24 teams from across the Ohio Valley competing.
Schools participating include Barnesville, Claymont, Dover, East Fairmont, Edison, Fairmont Senior, Fort Frye, Frontier, John Glenn, Magnolia, Martins Ferry, Meadowbrook, Monroe Central, Shadyside, St. Clairsville, Steubenville, St. Marys WV, Union Local, Waterford, Weir, Wheeling Central, Wheeling Park Red, Wheeling Park Blue and Zanesville.
Admission: $6 per person, with an all-day pass to all three locations. There will also be concessions. Entry fee is $225 per team. Make checks payable to Union Local Girls Basketball Boosters, 66779 Belmont-Morristown Rd., Belmont, OH, 43718.
The event will begin as pool play with six pools of four teams. Those pools are:
Pool A: East Fairmont, Shadyside, Union Local, Weir
Pool B: Claymont, Frontier, Meadowbrook, Wheeling Park Red
Pool C: Barnesville, Fort Frye, Edison, Steubenville
Pool D: Fairmont Senior, Martins Ferry, Wheeling Central, Zanesville
Pool E: Monroe Central, St. Clairsville, St. Marys WV, Wheeling Park Blue
Pool F: Dover, John Glenn, Magnolia, Waterford
Games will consist of 16-minute halves with a running clock. The last minute of each half will be played with regular clock rules. There will be a 3-minute halftime.
Shooting fouls will be one point, plus on foul shots. Each team will be given one timeout per half-No carry over, and any ties at the end of regulation will go to sudden-death overtime. If the optional overtime tourney game ends in a tie, it will also be sudden-death.
The day begins with action at 9 a.m. and continues all day.
Game sites are Union Local High School, 66779 Belmont-Morristown Rd.; The ECO Center, 68332 Bannock Rd., St Clairsville; and East Richland Christian School, 67885 Friends Church Rd., St Clairsville.
