WVU Football Adds 2 2027 Recruits, Including Top 3 For The Class

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia football had a busy weekend on the recruiting trail for the 2027 class, including picking up a top running back.

Three-star running back Khamoni Williams announced on social media that he’s committed to the Mountaineers, becoming the third-highest recruit for WVU’s 2027 class. He picked the Mountaineers over multiple Power Four schools, including Vanderbilt, Florida State, Colorado, Tennessee and Miami.

The Memphis, Tennessee, native had an impressive two seasons for Southwind High School. In his sophomore year, Williams had 125 carries for 1,151 yards and 13 touchdowns. He averaged 143.9 yards per game over eight games. Williams rushed for 892 yards and seven scores last season. He was a threat out of the backfield, too, over the two seasons, and had 405 yards in the air and five touchdowns. Williams has totaled 2,494 all-purpose yards so far in his career.

With the stacked stats, Williams drew a lot of attention from top schools. He had official visits planned with Auburn, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, but he committed to the Mountaineers after his official visit on May 29.

Williams is the 24th-best player in Tennessee and the 36th-rated running back in the class of 2027. He’s WVU’s top-rated running back and the third running back in the class.

The Mountaineers added a lineman to block for Williams in the future. 3-star interior offensive lineman Jajuan Graham announced he’s joining offensive line coach Rick Trickett and WVU. The Tucker, Georgia, native picked the Mountaineers over North Carolina, Pitt, Virginia Tech and Liberty.

Graham fits the description of this new era of offensive linemen for the Rich Rodriguez. He has a big stature of 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, which is massive for a junior in high school. Graham can also play multiple positions on the line at tackle, guard and even had some success at defensive tackle. On defense, Graham played in 11 games, had a sack and had 7.5 tackles for loss.

Graham picked the Mountaineers after taking an official visit on June 14 in Morgantown. He took an official visit up north to Pitt on May 28. Graham is the second lineman for Trickett in 2027 and the second lineman who’s over 300 pounds. Rodriguez and Trickett added a lot of big linemen in the portal this offseason, hoping to be more physical up front.

With the additions of Williams and Graham, WVU is up to 20 recruits for the 2027 class. The Mountaineers have the 29th-rated class and third in the Big 12.
