MOUNDSVILLE - Barnesville improved to 7-1 in boys' high school action Friday at the Moundsville Country Club.
The Shamrocks carded a 4-player total of 153 to defeat western Belmont County rival Union Local by eight shots. Shadyside was third with 186, while Monroe Central and River tied at 202.
Barnesville's Blaine Thompson was medalist with a 9-hole round of 37.
Paxton Gentile and Landon Hanasky both carded 39 to lead the Jets.

Brooke Wins Quadrangular Match
WELLSBURG - The Bruins picked up three victories at the par-72 Highland Springs Golf Course.
Brooke fired a 4-player total of 331, which was 22 shots in front of Madonna (353).
Toronto finished at 402, three strokes ahead of Trinity Christian (405).
The Bruins' Carter Neilson carded a 79 to earn medalist honors.
The Blue Dons were led by Evan Kaczmarek's 81, while Joey Westlake shot 95 to pace the Red Knights.
