High School Roundup: Barnesville’s Little Competes In Districts; Oak Glen Celebrates Seniors With Win

CAMBRIDGE - Barnesville's Kennedy Little shot a 79 Wednesday during the Ohio Division II District girls' golf tournament at the Cambridge Country Club. However, she fell four shots shy of qualifying for the state tournament.

Ridgewood won the event with a score of 337, which was 25 shots better than Fort Frye.

Only the top team and medalist advance to the state tournament.

The Generals had the top two individuals. Garaway's Kylie Miller finished third with a 75 to punch her ticket.

Harrison Central's Kennedy Dunlap placed eighth with an 88, while Edison's Kallie McKeegan was ninth with an 89 and Shadyside's Callie O'Donnell 13th at 95.

Edison (406) was fifth; Harrison central (410) sixth and Shadyside (444) seventh.

NEW MANCHESTER - The Golden Bears celebrated Senior Night with a win over the visiting Redskins.

Bailey Watts scored three goals and assisted on two others, while Kendall Krzys also had a trio of net-finders and a helper. Angelina Polly had a goal and assist and Camryn Richards made seven saves.

WHEELING - The Patriots and Hillers battled to a draw on the artificial pitch inside Wheeling Island Stadium.

Scoring goals for Wheeling Park were Graham Loy and Tristin Gonzalez. Jacob Robinson had an assist and also made four saves.
