Wheeling Park multi-sport standout, Cooper Abraham, center, is the Wheeling Elks Ohio County Athlete of the Month for May. Abraham was the goalie on the Patriots' state semi-final boys' soccer team, captained the hockey team to its second consecutive state championship, and is currently the leading scorer on the Patriots' lacrosse team. John Marshall girls' track and field standout, Paislee Babiczuk, left, is the Wheeling Elks Marshall County Athlete of the Month for May. The Sophomore sensation recently finished her season with a flourish at the West Virginia Girls' High School Class AAA Track and Field Championships by winning a state championship in the discus throw, and securing a second-place finish in the shot put. Babiczuk is shown receiving her award from Elks Youth Activities Committee member, Jeff Miller, right.
