Wheeling Park’s Sam Piko, left, and Madeline Bradshaw, right, pictured with their WVSSAC Class AAAA/Class AAA Region 1 doubles championship. The pair qualified for the state tournament, winning a regional championship, while Bradshaw also won the Region 1 singles championship. Piko, a freshman, was undefeated in the regular season and was this year’s OVAC runner-up. Bradshaw is undefeated this year, an OVAC champion, and two-time state runner-up heaading into next week. With her regional titles, Bradshaw is also a back-to-back singles and doubles regional champion. State competition takes place May 14-16 at Kanawha City Courts and Charleston Catholic Courts.
