Amrheins Mark 50 Years
Paul and Phyllis Amrhein of Wheeling will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Nov. 23. They were united in marriage Nov. 23, 1968, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Mt. Olivet.
Phyllis is the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Synowiec. She is a 1964 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. Phyllis retired from Ohio County Schools in 2012 as a school secretary.
Paul is the son of the late Paul and Anne Amrhein of Sherrard. He is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and West Liberty State College. He retired in 2012 after a career in sales and management. He is an Army veteran, served in the Viet Nam War, and currently serves as a member of the Moundsville Veterans Honor Guard.
They are the parents of twin daughters: Chris (Mike) Doty of Wheeling, and Wendy (Barry) Cain of Knoxville, Tennessee. They have two grandchildren (Dominique and Shelby Doty), and two great-grandchildren (Arya and Aylah Doty).
They will celebrate the occasion with a family dinner at the Ihlenfeld Dining Room at Oglebay Park.so, a trip to Niagra Falls, Canada, is planned.
