One person died and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near the Highlands, Ohio County Sheriff Tom Howard said.
Deputies were called to the crash on Union Hill Road about 12:30 p.m., Howard said.
The identity of the victim who died was not immediately released by police while they notified the next of kin. The other person injured in the crash also was not identified, nor was it known the severity of his or her injuries.
The road was closed while the department’s accident reconstruction team investigated the crash.
